Hello and welcome to Sweet Truth. I’ve been writing this blog for a few months now and I hope you enjoy it. I started this blog for a number of reasons…
Firstly, I am completely head-over-heels infatuated with food! I am at my absolute happiness in a farmer’s market, squeezing the tomatoes, smelling the freshly baked bread and taking in the incredible array of amazing colours.
Secondly, my own experiences with ill-health and my frustrations with certain aspects of conventional medicine have taken me in an exciting new direction in life and I am now training in nutrition so that I can continue learning as much as I can and go on to help others reclaim their lives through taking control of their wellbeing and health. I am finding that the more I learn the more fascinated I become with the incredible workings of the human body and the powerful healing properties of food.
Finally, I want to break down some common misconceptions that healthy eating has to be boring, virtuous and all about going without. It’s anything but this! It’s all about enjoying fantastic flavours, indulgent desserts, dishes as colourful as rainbows and all the wonderful and powerful superfoods nature has provided us. Eating this way means I am enjoying food more than I ever have before and not having to worry once about a calorie!
